NFVCB Celebrates Lillian Amah-Aluko and Other Nollywood Icons at the 5th Annual Peace Anyiam-Osigwe Nigerian Digital Content Regulatory Conference (PAO-NDCRC)

The 5th Annual Peace Anyiam-Osigwe Nigerian Digital Content Regulatory Conference (PAO-NDCRC) brought together the brightest minds and strongest voices in Nigeria’s motion picture landscape for two days of robust dialogue, reflection, and strategic forward-planning. Held at the iconic Shell Hall, Muson Centre, Lagos, the 2025 edition reaffirmed the conference’s growing influence as a hub for innovation, collaboration, and responsible growth in the creative sector.

Organized by the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) under the leadership of its Director General and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Shaibu Husseini, the annual gathering continues to serve as a bridge between creatives, industry leaders, investors, and policymakers—ensuring that the future of Nigeria’s film and digital content ecosystem is shaped with intention and clarity.


A major highlight of the conference was the recognition of 23 industry practitioners who recently turned 50 and 60. Among the honorees was Lillian Amah-Aluko, Co-Founder and Director at Tribe Nation Theatrical Distribution Limited, celebrated alongside some of Nollywood’s finest talents including Rita Dominic, Alibaba, Ngozi Ezeonu, Segun Arinze, Jude Chukwuka, Ronnie Dikko and several others.

This year’s theme, “From Volume to Value,” sparked deeply engaging conversations around the evolution of Nollywood and the urgent need to prioritize quality storytelling, sustainable structures, and global competitiveness. Across multiple panel sessions, keynote addresses, and interactive discussions, delegates explored the opportunities and challenges of the digital era, with a keen focus on value creation and long-term industry stability.

The event was graced by some of Nigeria’s most celebrated actors, filmmakers, executives, and cultural leaders, further reinforcing the conference’s status as a premier gathering for forward-thinking industry professionals. In his welcome address, Dr. Husseini delivered a powerful charge to industry stakeholders, urging filmmakers to shift from prioritizing quantity to producing high-value content that resonates deeply with audiences, attracts investors, and strengthens Nigeria’s standing on the global stage.

Since its inception in 2021, the Peace Anyiam-Osigwe NDCRC has stood as a unifying platform for industry professionals and innovators. Renamed in 2023 to honour the late Peace Anyiam-Osigwe (renowned filmmaker, visionary leader, and founder of the AMAA Awards) the conference continues to uphold her commitment to creative excellence, capacity building, and industry cohesion.
