The 4th edition of the Kingdom Film Festival (KFF), Africa’s premium faith-based film festival, successfully took place from November 27th to 29th, 2025, at Ebonylife Cinemas, Victoria Island, Lagos. The festival once again brought together visionaries, creatives, industry professionals, and emerging filmmakers united by a shared mission: to elevate faith-based storytelling across Africa and beyond.

Founded in 2022 by media practitioner Ewoma Luther-Abegunde, KFF continues to champion its commitment to providing a dedicated platform for Christian and faith-based filmmakers to showcase their work and explore meaningful distribution opportunities. Positioned as a gathering of young, innovative, and purpose-driven filmmakers, each edition convenes influential industry leaders who explore present and future pathways for faith-driven creators to tell transformative stories of hope, grace, and the love of God, powered by creativity, excellence, and world-class technology.
"It is absurd that this kind of platform is only now existing considering how deep the roots of the faith-based (film) community is in this country." - Anita Edwards, CEO, Tribe Nation Theatrical Distribution.
Following a successful pre-summit at the Africa Creative Market in September 2025, expectations were high for this year’s edition, and KFF delivered. This year’s edition delivered a rich and inspiring program built around its futuristic theme, “Creators Universe: Designing a Future with Film and Technology.” The festival opened on November 27th with exclusive film screenings at Silverbird Cinemas, Victoria Island. The main festival activities kicked off the next day at Ebonylife Cinemas, featuring a rich program of purpose-igniting panel discussions, skill-deepening workshops, and thought-provoking sessions aimed at inspiring a renewed mindset for this generation of faith-based creatives.

The speaker lineup was filled with notable voices and influential thinkers, including Pastor, Coach and Communicator Debola Deji-Kurunmi; media personality Chude Jideonwo; industry veteran Femi Odugbemi; NIFS founder Ijeoma Onah; award-winning actor Stan Nze; social media influencer and The Chosen ambassador Abiola Jinadu-Matthew; media entrepreneur Toyosi Etim-Effiong; gospel artist Angeloh; and President of the Directors Guild of Nigeria and Coal City Festival Founder, Uche Agbo. A major highlight was the attendance of legendary Christian filmmaker and founder of Mount Zion Films and Ministries, Evangelist Mike Bamiloye, whose presence reaffirmed the festival’s standing as a key gathering for the faith-based creative community.
Our team was equally proud to be in attendance, not only to support the faith-based filmmaking community, but also to celebrate the successful release of the 2D-animated film LIGHT OF THE WORLD, which beautifully retells the story of Jesus through the eyes of His disciple John. The film is currently showing in cinemas across Nigeria and Ghana. Earlier this year, we also distributed THE CHOSEN: LAST SUPPER in cinemas across West Africa to overwhelming acclaim. Together, these releases reinforce our unwavering commitment to bridging the gap between filmmakers and their audiences.
During a red carpet interview, our Chief Executive Officer, Anita Edwards, lauded the necessity and timeliness of the festival, stating: “It is absurd that this kind of platform is only now existing considering how deep the roots of the faith-based (film) community is in this country.” Her remarks echoed the sentiments of many attendees who agreed that Kingdom Film Festival is not only timely but essential in elevating faith-driven content in Nigeria and across Africa.
The 2025 Kingdom Film Festival ended on a high note, leaving filmmakers, creatives, and attendees inspired, equipped, and energized for a future where faith and film continue to intersect boldly and globally.
