Tribe Nation Theatrical Distribution is proud to unveil the first look at Avante, a gripping crime thriller set for nationwide cinema release on Good Friday, April 3, 2026. Produced by Kingsley Okafor and Afrisquare Entertainment, and directed by multi-award-winning filmmaker Toka McBaror (Merry Men: The Real Yoruba Demons, Almajiri, The Waiter), Avante delivers a tense, emotionally charged story of revenge, identity, and forbidden love.

The film follows Gaju (played by AMVCA 2024 Trailblazer Award winner Chimezie Imo), a man consumed by a singular mission: to avenge the brutal murder of his parents. To get close to his target, the formidable Sir Bruno—formerly known as General Manzi—Gaju assumes a new identity as “Albert,” a quiet, unassuming farmhand. Through calculated patience, he infiltrates Sir Bruno’s remote and heavily guarded estate, positioning himself for the ultimate reckoning. But revenge proves more complicated than planned.

While embedded in the estate, Albert finds himself falling for Laura, the daughter of the very man he intends to kill. As buried trauma collides with unexpected love, he is confronted with an impossible choice: fulfill the vengeance that has defined his existence, or risk everything for a future he never imagined.
Avante boasts a compelling ensemble cast including Chimezie Imo, Kingsley Okafor, Doe Jr., Mailya Michael, Patience Ujah, Eddie Walker, Cameroonian actress Ruth Nkweti, Papasam Obadan, Joseph James, Johnson Erakpotobor, and Nuru McKhan. Each performance intensifies the film’s psychological tension and emotional depth.
Distributed nationwide by Tribe Nation Theatrical Distribution, Avante opens in cinemas across Nigeria on April 3, 2026, promising audiences a thrilling cinematic experience this Easter season.
