Kalu Ikeagwu
Kalu Ikeagwu, a renowned Nigerian-British actor, made his screen debut in 2005 with the popular Domino TV series. He expanded his career into stage performances, notably in "Put Out The Houselights" by Esiaba Ironsi. Since his first movie role, Ikeagwu has featured in over 100 movies and TV series, including notable works like "Our Husband Has Gone Mad Again," "Hangmen Also Die," "For Real," and his role as "Alahji Abubakar" (Masters) in the hit TV series Tinsel. His contributions have earned him several nominations for the Africa Magic Viewers Award in 2013 and 2014. Kalu Ikeagwu plays the role of Jidechi in "The Other One".
Character Bio
Jidechi is an Igbo man who is married to the love of his life, Jummai, and they are raising the light of their lives, Jeozichi, in a home filled with warmth, laughter and independence of thought. Jidechi bears the greater burden of financially catering for his family, and like his wife Jummai, he has a liberal worldview. Jidechi is not very trusting of people, save for his family and his best friend, Mordi. He has a bit of a temper and takes pride in his ability to provide for his family and insulate them from the world. His confidence in this ability comes crashing down when his wife is abducted on her way back from work.
