Kelechi Udegbe
Kelechi Udegbe is a Nigerian actor and accomplished voice-over artist, who has gained recognition for his notable role as one of the lead characters in "Officer Titus". With a screen debut in 2009, Kelechi has built a diverse portfolio, showcasing his talent in various films and soap operas such as "Behind The Smile," "Ojuju," "Taxi Driver: Oko Ashewo," "Horn Free Day," "Kpians: The Feast of Souls," "Officer Titus," and "Mami Wata." He earned nominations for Best Actor in a Comedy at the 2015 and 2016 Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards, highlighting his commendable contributions to the entertainment industry. He plays the role of Mandela in the psychological thriller drama, "The Other One".
Character Bio
Mandela is a tall, hulking man in his mid-40’s. Born to a semi-literate mother, Mandela was a terribly awkward teenager and a social outcast, who became fixated on his beautiful classmate, Jummai, and made loathsome approaches at her, ostensibly because he didn't know better. His mind doesn’t handle her rejection and he hangs onto the idea that Jummai is the one person he can devote his life to. As an adult, Mandela goes through a physical transformation and sets his sights on Jumai. He wants to be loved and needed and respected, and Jummai is the only woman he believes can fulfill those needs.
